Baumaris Modern OPEN

 Beaumaris Modern OPEN is a one-day-only, exclusive sneak peek into 5 classic Beaumaris Mid-Century homes and one church.

Beaumaris Modern Inc. is a not-for-profit, community organisation with the aim of celebrating, educating and preserving mid-century modernist architecture in Beaumaris.

Monies raised by Beaumaris Modern Inc. from the event will go towards our not-for-profit activities in relation to celebrating, educating and promoting the importance of preserving mid-century architecture in Beaumaris.

Beaumaris Modern has public liability insurance coverage appropriate for the event, which covers participants, volunteers and Beaumaris Modern committees and office holders.

Beaumaris Modern reserves the right to to accept or refuse any ticket sales at their sole discretion. Tickets are refundable within 7 days of the event via Eventbrite. Beaumaris Modern reserves the right to cancel, postpone or substitute presenters event if conditions can change unexpectedly. We will make every effort to notify ticket purchasers of any unavoidable changes.

Tickets sold during the Beaumaris Member pre-sale period are capped at 4 tickets per member. Once the member pre-sale period has expired or the ticket allocation is exhausted, tickets will be on sale to the public at the publicly listed ticket price only.

On the day

Ticketed participants will need to register on the day at the Beaumaris Bowling Club, Martin Street, Beaumaris. Registration commences at 11.30am and closes at 2.30pm. A coffee cart will be on hand so you can buy yourself a kick-start!

Upon registration, you will receive a keepsake brochure with a map and the addresses of the properties. You can visit each of them between 11.30am – 3.30pm. To balance traffic loads, our volunteers will suggest the order of houses you should visit.

You’re responsible for your own transport between venues. Please obey road & parking regulations. Parking might be limited close to some of the houses, so please expect to have to walk up to several hundred metres to some of the properties.

Addresses won’t be revealed in advance or to non-ticket holders. And if there are heavy crowds at any of the properties, you might be asked to wait a little while before entering.

Depending upon weather conditions, specific homeowners may ask that shoes are removed before entering the house.

Hopefully, the sun will be shining!

Additional notes

Participants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing at each house. Children under 13 years are not permitted to enter any of the venue properties. No food or drink is permitted in any of the venue properties. You will be refused entry to venue properties if you do not register at the Beaumaris Bowling Club between 11.30am – 2.30pm and show proof of registration at each of the properties. Volunteers at the registration centre and each venue property will manage crowd capacity. You may be asked to queue outside a property if it is overcrowded. Property owners may have clearly marked no access areas. Please respectfully do not enter these areas.
