Unimaged – Visualising the Unbuilt

As a conference focused on architectural visualisation of the unbuilt world, Unbuilt is a two-day symposium that will analyse how to best convey the progression of the built world through visualisation tools in order to communicate and design cities that must maintain connection and understanding by all of those who live within them.

By incorporating opportunities for networking, listening and challenging, Unimagined will manifest  learnings into methods of visualisation and communication of our future cities and what they need to progress. With a panel of speakers that span across a magnitude of industries inclusive of architecture, 3D visualisation studios, advertisings agencies to software and property companies, the symposium serves as a initiation tool to congregate understanding, opinion and evidence to serve fuel a shared knowledge for how we can visualise the future of Australia at both macro and micro levels.

Tickets include access to two-days worth of panel discussions, including 11 talks, refreshments throughout the day and access to the Deck Party inclusive of dinner and drinks overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

About the speakers

James Burrell – Former MIR Artist, Art Director Tomorrow

Prior to embarking on his current position in Sweden as Art Director at Tomorrow, James Burrell perfected his practice at MIR. James brings in-depth knowledge and insight from working in studios across the globe.

Host – Fabio Palvelli

Hosting this year’s event, Fabio is a Italian designer, speaker, university lecturer and business consultant. With a BA in Architecture from London’s South Bank University and a Master’s in Building Science from Vienna’s Technical University, Fabio will share valuable insight from his experience as a part of Chaos Group, his co-founding of d2Conference pertaining to visualization and from his background in strategic consulting and business.

Tim Johnson – Technical Director Buildmedia

Interested in real-time visualisation, VR, photogrammetry, GIS and 3d rendering, Tim has expansive insight in infrastructure and emerging technologies. He is currently leading and developing a new visualisation product called Realspace.

Justin Bourn – Director Blank Canvas Studios

As the Founder and Director of Blank Canvas Studios, Justin’s story to success is inspirational and truth telling – anything is possible. As an entrepreneur with 3 offices world wide, Justin was originally an engineer with perseverence and great motivation to establish himself as a leader and entrepreneur. He is a co-host of Simple Minds Podcast and wants to help people to become all that they want from life.

Phil & Mark – Founder and Creative Director Mr.P Studio

Phil Horton – Founder

Having begun his career at The Neighborhood studio before making his way to start Mr.P, Phil brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from his expertise in interior architecture.

Mark – Creative Director

Fascinated by architectural visualisation and animation, Mark’s work has been published in the New York Times, Archdaily, Designbboom and Dezeen, among others. He is interested in all sizes of projects stemming from small project work to global competitions.
