Brasshouse by Sydney based architecture firm Rothlowman will be an architectural marvel within a suburb at the forefront of modern design. The established Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn East will become home to a new breed of bold residential architecture, with brasshouse at the center of this design revolution.
A series of brass ribbons wrap around the entire building, contrasting with dark textured plates which appear to hold the ribbons in place. Throughout the entire building there is a sense of seamless connection and a lustre which will create an address of distinction. Brasshouse will truly standout amongst a landscape of bold and stunning designs.
Rothelowman have taken their cues from the form and materiality of brass. The end result is the perfect balance between elegance and playfulness. The brass ribbons give the building an identity, but they also have a practical function by providing privacy to the apartment terraces and allowing light into each living space through tiny perforations.
