Bronte Beach House
by Arque
Emma and Suzanne of Arque were engaged to transform a quaint beach house in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs that was in desperate need of a complete makeover.
This gorgeous Bronte cottage was in need of a transformation, with Arque being engaged to bring this beach house to its maximum potential, both internally and externally.
The Bronte Beach House is richly layered with bespoke interior elements that add fun, joy and intrigue, whilst the design creates a new visual language for the family home.

The design of the house is focused on encouraging unity amongst occupants. The kitchen was redesigned as the social fulcrum of the home in order to become an expansive and inclusive device that serves to draw occupants together.

Timber joinery is combined with a minimalist white colour palette that contributes the laid back coastal atmosphere generated within the home. The space adopts a contemporary feel and provides occupants with a contemporary oasis set amongst the hustle & bustle of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Emma and Suzanne of Arque loved working with the client on this project to make the brief work. This collaborative relationship between client and architect ensured the creation of the beautiful final result that we can observe today.
