Courtyard House

Due to the heritage overlay, Baker Drofenik Architects approached the Courtyard House in North Coburg as a way of retaining and refurbishing original design features.

A purposeful but restrained material palette was adopted to match the existing build, ensuring that the rear addition, which is separated by a central courtyard, allows the original house to retain its own scale and presence while celebrating the new living, dining and kitchen areas.
