Located behind an existing period dwelling, a finely crafted single storey pavilion has been placed in the expansive back garden by Alex Matyear of Whitcher Matyear Architects, enabling living spaces to engage directly with two distinct outdoor spaces: a shady open lawn and an intimate sun-drenched courtyard. This simple brick pavilion is punctuated by a series of crafted timber window and door boxes that invite the occupants to dwell at the threshold between indoors and out.
