A new CUA building for clients which refelects a modern idea of clean Scandinavian interior design.
With a focus on small joys in life, Girvan Waugh designed and constructed a unique space of openness and airiness, which channels the feel of a modern home, rather than a workplace. Design to the CUA office also included a member’s lounge which reflects the philosophy of enjoyment and happiness, a perfect fit for the clean lines of the Scandinavian interior.
The space is accessible to all of CUA’s members, employees and partners, with the idea that each space is a welcoming place to both clients and employees, who can enjoy the comforts of a home environment, in a workplace.
The challenge for Girvan Waugh’s strategy and design team was to develop an innovative space that is completely interchangeable with operable walls & movable furniture.
Careful consideration was given to ensure that the space – in any configuration – is warm and inviting, with feature elements of a bespoke eco-fireplace, custom timber joinery, an array of indoor plants, and a one-of-a-kind art wall.
