Federation House Bungalow
by Louise Walsh Interior Design
A young family’s home set in the Byron Bay hinterland. Collectively renovated with Louise Walsh Interior Design and Villa Interiors using a calming blend soft chalky tones, natural textures and splashes of bold colour throughout.
Originally built in 2003, we purchased the home in 2014 and it was very dated. After living in the house for three years we decided it was time for an update. What started out as new floors and a kitchen quickly turned into a major re-build. Including moving location of the kitchen closer to the back deck, improving the sizes and layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Opening up the lower ground floor to achieve the ultimate rumpus room. We also reconfigured a granny flat and built a new art studio, with a study above and garage below. All new interior finishes, fittings, lighting, doors and exterior cladding. Basically, the house was striped back and rebuilt except for the roof.
