Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel
by Studio Y.
The Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel is a stunning example of heritage Australian architecture combining with modern interior design.
The Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel by Studio Y. has a series of intimate spaces that offer various differing drinking and dining experiences to the patrons. Each area designed by Studio Y. within the hotel is defined by warm textures and finishes. This interior design aspect has created a well orchestrated composition that pays tribute the seasonally refined menu that offers various culinary delights to the pub patrons.
Adjacent to the interior charcuterie, Studio Y. has designed a ‘Hunting Lodge’ space which emulates a traditional Scottish hunting lodge seen throughout the breathtaking Scottish Highlands. The space evokes the interior design feel of solid wooden cabin built for colder climates, making the Fitzroy Town Hall Hotel the perfect place to spend a cold winter night in Melbourne. The dark and dusty colour palette transports the customer to a far away Scottish town.
Studio Y. chose quirky drum pendants upholstered in tartan to complement the dark navy ‘regal’ feel of the dining area and to match with the fireplace that is the grand cousin of the hunting lodge. Timber logs are on display in the main bar area, hinting at a warm hearth which makes the entire space even more inviting and cosy.
