Situated in Melbourne’s inner west suburbs, Footscray Apartment by BoardGrove Architects is a joyful renovation with an abundance of natural light. The reconfigured ceiling maximises space and opens up circulation between each area of the apartment.

Celebrating the art of cooking in a more ambiguous aesthetic, the kitchen houses a collection of art-like objects. A solid Corian bench, a large metal arched door and arched reveal holds the sink, oven, cook-top and fridge. BoardGrove Architects deliberately chose the material palette to compliment and soften the tones of the existing concrete floor and walls.
