Jacky Winter HQ
by Nest Architects
This space is a unique concept where art meets architecture to create a gallery of works by Australian artists and a comfortable workspace for staff.
Jacky Winter Group is a design and creative agency which employs 12 people, and represents over 100 of Australia’s best illustrators, storyboard artists, animators and other image makers. With a reputation for representing some of Australia’s greatest commercial artists.
Split over three levels, the building houses Lamington Drive; Jacky Winter’s gallery, new office spaces and meeting room for the company’s twelve staff, and a podcast recording room. There is also a self-contained sleep room, which has been incorporated into the design of this space, which accommodates interstate artists and visitors for overnight stays when needed.
The most outwardly notable feature is the AMAZING exterior mural, designed by JW artist Lachlan Conn, and incorporating a neon signage manufactured by Electric Confetti.
The new Jacky Winter HQ represents a true reflection of the company’s culture, values, and aesthetic, while at the same time being a practical space which meets the needs and plans of growth for owners and staff of the company.
The result of this space, is a quirky, modern and happy space set, which works well within the surrounding streetscape environment, as a colourful addition to the Melbourne urban landscape.
As the Jacky Winter team head into their 10th year of business, their new vibrant and versatile HQ in Melbourne, represents a new chapter for the company.
