JBC Residence
by Mim Design
JBC Residence is a complete rebuild of a 1930s Edwardian home in Melbourne’s sunny suburb of Brighton.
Design of this property was a stunning collaboration between Mim Designs and Architects Nixon Tulloch Forte. The outcome of this fresh new contemporary design, is a stunning fusion of modern Australian architectural ideas, on how to lighten each space for an easy living and modern contemporary home.
Carefully curated interiors which meld together the architecture with stunning interior detailing was paramount to the design throughout. With the interior of the home reflecting the requirement of opening up each space to more natural light, creating bright spaces and an easy living home.
Contrasts through the use of different textures and materials have been used throughout the home, to create unique and comfortable spaces for both private family time and entertaining guests, whilst still forming an easy flow between each room, which is especially designed with the focus on opening the home to friends and family,.
This resulted in a welcoming space throughout, which is easy to transition between entertaining guests, quiet time to study and work, or simply just to relax and unwind.
