The key to designing a beautiful retail space is creating an environment that truly embodies the products on display. Through PHARE Christopher Elliot Design have not only achieved this but also enhanced the products through their unique interior design vision.

Christopher Elliott Design were approached by Melbourne footwear brand PHARE to design a space for their first pop up store in the inner city Melbourne suburb of Toorak. PHARE’s products are defined by their quality, bold and powerfully feminine designs; credentials that Christopher Elliott and his team wanted to incorporate into their design vision. Ultimately they wanted to create a space that generated a powerful statement about feminism, fashion and contemporary design.

For the interior colour palette the design team drew inspiration from the warm skin tones that are featured in numerous PHARE trademark designs. The architectural forms are distinctively Italian in style, a region long associated with high end fashion and from where the products on display manufactured.

Ultimately Christopher Elliott Design wanted to create a space that generated a powerful statement about feminism, fashion and contemporary design.

When one first sets foot in PHARE they immediately experience a strong feeling of warmth as they become immersed in the beauty of the retail space. This was the ultimate goal for Christopher Elliott Design as they set about designing a space that intrigued, rather than overwhelmed, the senses.

The architectural forms are distinctively Italian in style, a region long associated with high end fashion and from where the products on display are manufactured.
