Roseberry Street House is a rear extension to a Victorian terrace house in Hawthorn East. The existing rooms at the front of the house were restored by Chan Architecture, while the back of the house was completely rebuilt to include a new kitchen that opens up to the north-facing backyard through custom-made steel framed doors.
The upstairs master bedroom, ensuite and walk-in robe cantilevers over the backyard, providing shelter while acting as an architectural statement with the unique patterning of the vertical timber battens.
