Tasked with creating a home that captured key views of its adjacent and generously lush landscape, Stratum sees the interplay of bold monolithic forms assembled on site. Named after its many formal layers, internally each element connects to its outward relationship, while seeming contained within the same overarching shell. Joe Adsett Architects utilises a controlled and retrained palette together with nuanced gestures to anchor its home as a place of shelter and protection for its residents, while still connecting outward.
