Since its launch in 2015, the portable LED BALAD lamp has redefined outdoor lighting. Designed by Tristan Lohner, it features a polyethylene diffuser and an aluminium handle inspired by modern headphones. The lamp offers four light temperatures: cool white, neutral white, brighter neutral white, and candle-style warm white, delivering up to 10 hours of light. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use, it’s lightweight, weather-resistant, and easy to carry.

About The Designer

French designer Tristan Lohner is dedicated to precision and authenticity, his designs focus on creating a meaningful connection between objects and their users, ensuring harmony between functionality, form, and durability.

Lohner began his journey studying cabinetmaking under Bernard Daude, a master craftsman for Pierre Paulin at the Mobilier National, before joining the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

As a regular collaborator with Fermob, he has been involved in projects awarded the Etoile du Design and Red Dot Design Award winners, available in over 50 countries.

In 2024, he was honoured with the French Design 100 award, promoting French creativity worldwide.
