Objects of sculptural beauty in their own right, the Botanical Waratah Planter Screens were inspired by visits to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne and designer Helen Kontouris’ love of Australian native flowering plants.
Developed in response to the human need to connect with nature – when intertwined with active climbing plants, whether ornamental or bearing edible fruits and vegetables, our Botanical collection integrates mobile planter screens, with self-watering elements and double-sided, for indoor or outdoor environments. Winner of the Good Design – Gold award.

Product Details & Specifications

This item combines a stainless steel upper screen and an aluminium base with non-marking castor wheels. The stainless steel and aluminium parts are coated with UV-stable powder finishes, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. Made in Australia

About The Designer

Melbourne-based Helen Kontouris is an established Australian object and furniture designer. Established in 2001, her studio produces objects and furniture that champion intelligent materials and promote a movement ‘against throwawayism.’ Her work is often described as sculptural, while her products invite exploration and intimate engagement and thought.
