The Drop paper lamp is made using traditional Suifu lantern techniques, known for creating strong and durable paper lanterns. Time & Style chose Echizen washi paper for the lamp’s shade, a highly respected material with a 1,500-year history.

This paper is known for its warm tones and exceptional durability, thanks to the long, thick fibers of Japanese mulberry. Often used in large sheets for things like sliding doors (fusuma) and folding screens (byobu), Echizen washi is perfect for creating elegant, long-lasting fixtures.
