The FlatWhite is a light fitting that is warm and soft with a smooth tactile quality. The hand blown glass diffuser is detailed with a concaved chamfer and acid etch opal finish. Almost non-existent, it sits just off the wall with a cutaway heat sink that fades into the shadows emphasising the most important aspect of this fitting – the light.

Sydney-Based Industrial Designer, Alex Fitzpatrick connects complex systems with consummate artistry at ADesignStudio, where he leads as Creative Director.

Alex pursues the aligning of scientific and poetic elements: a synergy from which his practice emerges. Built on a foundation of storytelling and establishing a strong visual language from the outset, Alex’s approach traverses the meaning behind an object; where it came from and how it came to be. It is this inherent need for deeper explorations and explanations, that has led him through his early creative career and provided grounds for a future in artisanal lighting design.
