Peter Maly began his career studying interior architecture at the Ecole Supérieure Spécialisée, Detmold, graduating in 1960. However, his debut as a designer did not come about until ten years later. The period between was dedicated to journalism and interior design for a German interiors magazine. He opened his own design & interior architecture practice in 1970, and since then has worked with companies such as Anta, Behr, Cor, Interlübke, JAB Anstoetz, Ligne Roset, Mauser, Thonet and Tonon.
His experience is vast, ranging from product and textile design to `exhibition design’ for stands at trade shows, including Ligne Roset. He has designed Ligne Roset stores in Moscow, New York, Hamburg and Berlin, as well as an impressive array of Ligne Roset products from tableware to beds! He is internationally recognized in the field of design and has won numerous design awards.
