The Volta Collection brings a new approach to Dowel Jones furniture. With its carved solid timber backrest to embrace the sitter’s body and its soft upholstered seat or solid timber seat, the Volta Chair explores the possibility of a mixed-material chair. Contrasting against the tubular frame, solid timber backrest, and soft upholstered seat and solid timber seat are solid brass details, left uncoated to patina naturally with the chair. The Volta High Chair is available in both 650mm counter height, and 750mm bar height.

The Volta Collection was designed by RIES, a design studio based in Buenos Aires, Argentina focused on product and contemporary furniture design, as well as interiors and small-scale architecture.
Dowel Jones was founded by Adam Lynch and Dale Hardiman in 2014 after graduating from university together. Over the past 7 years, founders Adam Lynch and Dale Hardiman have grown the company from a small furniture studio helping to furnish local cafes, to producing furniture, lighting and accessories now found in homes and interiors all across the world.
