15 Brindle Street
Designed by SP Studio, Jacaranda House is an elegant and grounded response to its steep, leafy site, where architecture and landscape intertwine beneath the canopy of its namesake tree. Anchored by a palette of brick, concrete and timber, the home is both robust and tactile, its material honesty reinforcing a sense of permanence and calm.
Carved gently into the hillside, the home reveals itself through a series of layered spaces that transition effortlessly from private retreat to open living. Each moment within the house is attuned to its environment: dappled light filtering through timber screens, breezes drawn through cross-ventilated openings, and framed outlooks that capture the surrounding greenery.
SP Studio’s design reimagines the familiar language of the Queenslander through a contemporary lens, balancing openness with enclosure and material simplicity with crafted detail. The result is a home that feels at once timeless and distinctly of its place, celebrating connection, climate and the quiet beauty of everyday living.
