Rather than competing with its coastal surroundings, the home adopts a restrained material language, where micro-cement, concrete and limestone establish a sense of permanence and tactility suited to its environment.
The planning is both deliberate and expansive. A grounded entry sequence gives way to open living zones that unfold toward the outdoors, and where elevated ceiling heights and generous apertures draw light deep into the interior. This spatial continuity extends outward, reinforcing a seamless transition between inside and the surrounding dunes, with Tallow Beach just beyond.
Material warmth is introduced through timber detailing and bespoke joinery, softening the home’s more robust architectural elements while strengthening its connection to place. Conceived as a contemporary coastal retreat, the residence reflects a careful balance of durability and refinement, where architecture is shaped by climate, context and the rhythms of daily life.
