Aplos was founded by Helen Kontouris and Simon Cross in 2019 after more than 20 years in the design industry, designing and collaborating with the world’s most prestigious galleries, collectors, and brands. Aplos was established from a desire to create beautiful designs for breathtaking environments that enrich people’s lives for generations.
Aplos (Απλός): Is the Greek reference for simplicity, or as we like to say, “Beauty in Simplicity.”
Australia is where we create and produce our products. Authenticity is at the heart of our principles, and we are proud of our team of craftspeople and artisans.
We design contemporary furniture and products that are visually compelling and distinguished for their high quality. Our collections anchor themselves in their capacity to reflect contemporary culture, with a creative sensibility to respond to ever-changing cultural influences. As a result, there is a harmonious blend of creativity, innovation, and production experience.
Our multidisciplinary studio has evolved into a vibrant product design, graphic design, and industrial design powerhouse. We collaborate with our craftsmen, master upholsterers and artisans to ensure uncompromising quality and manufacturing.
