Arque is a Sydney based architecture & interior design practice with the simple design philosophy – design for the everyday, strive for the extraordinary.
Founding principals Emma Rees-Raaijmakers and Suzanne Green foster a creative and growing practice underpinned by a two-decade-plus friendship.
With over 25 years experience working in the architectural sector for leading architectural practices both locally and internationally, Emma and Suzanne bring a diversity of experience and knowledge to Arque.
Arque specializes in the design of new residential architecture and interiors, often in combination with a restoration of an existing property. The philosophy of designing ‘for the everyday’, means that each decision is a conscious one intended to enrich and transform the everyday lives of their clients. To ‘strive for the extraordinary’ – means that each project is approached with a curiosity, rigour and craftsmanship ensuring that the end product is extraordinary, transformative and ultimately beautiful.
The Woollahra House II introduces a sense of playful contemporary style into the interiors of a large family home in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Arque’s design philosophy is simple - design for the everyday, strive for the extraordinary. We sit down with Emma and Suzanne of Arque to discover how this idea forms the basis of their business.
