Eco Outdoor’s newly transformed Los Angeles showroom not only showcases the brand’s unparalleled range of finishes and furniture – it also reflects the Australian company’s increasing presence in North America.

Eco Outdoor’s Los Angeles showroom, a sprawling 920-square-metre (10,000-square-foot) space on Wilshire Boulevard, has long been a cornerstone of the brand’s US presence. Recently rejuvenated, the elevated space now serves as a dynamic showcase for the brand’s dedication to innovation and craftsmanship, and reflects its deep commitment to the North American architectural and design community.

“The scale of the space allows us to show materials in the way they should be shown, so our clients can really understand the colour, texture and nuances of natural materials.”

Ben Kerr, Eco Outdoor’s founder and CEO, sees the transformation as a pivotal moment in the company’s journey. “The scale of the space allows us to show materials in the way they should be shown, so our clients can really understand the colour, texture and nuances you get with natural materials,” he explains.

Stepping inside, visitors are immediately immersed in an environment designed to inspire creativity. Expansive, open, light-filled spaces feature life-size product displays that showcase a curated mix of Eco Outdoor’s established product range and newer offerings. Each display invites tactile interaction, highlighting the raw beauty and natural variations that define Eco Outdoor’s surfaces.

Chloé Arsouze, Eco Outdoor’s head of product development, explains that the showroom layout is a reflection of home-like spaces, designed to help clients visualise materials in real-life settings. “When we create our showrooms, it’s really important for us to provide an experience as if you were at home,” Arsouze explains. “The layout allows clients to interact with materials in realistic settings, with distinct areas for each type of material.

“In the LA showroom, you’re drawn to the large room with high ceilings, followed by a mezzanine where materials are displayed like a library, and a kitchen area where clients can relax. The design bridges indoor and outdoor spaces, with products displayed to work in both settings.”

A variety of surfaces – sandstone, cobblestones, Technifirma and limestone – come alive in Los Angeles’s ever-changing light, allowing clients to experience how the materials shift in tone and texture.

The refined outdoor area offers an oasis from the bustle of Wilshire Boulevard outside. Framed by a landscape design by renowned LA firm FPLD, the space features two monumental blocks of Italian travertine, standing sentinel over the displays. Amid olive trees and under festoon lights, a variety of surfaces – sandstone, cobblestones, Technifirma and limestone – come alive in Los Angeles’s ever-changing light, allowing clients to experience how the materials shift in tone and texture.

The client experience is at the heart of the showroom. “Our approach is centered around the client, going the extra mile with the team we’ve assembled,” explains specification partner Sam Sandin. “We’re experts in architectural surfaces, stone and timber – and we’re design fanatics who are deeply embedded in the A&D community.”

“It’s looking at tone, texture, format and embracing the imperfection of natural materials, which is really what we’re all about.”

For Ben Kerr, the showroom embodies the heart of Eco Outdoor’s ethos. “I think the whole idea of a showroom space like ours is that it really aids and inspires communication, helps a designer or architect communicate to a client. It’s looking at tone, texture, format and embracing the imperfection of natural materials, which is really what we’re all about.”

As the company continues its expansion across North America – with projects spanning locales from Arizona to Washington and another showroom slated for San Francisco – the Los Angeles experience is a beacon for Eco Outdoor’s vision. It’s a space where design professionals can find inspiration, explore possibilities and bring their projects to life. In every stone, texture and surface, the showroom tells a story of artisanship, innovation and a profound respect for natural materials, crafted with wonder.
