DE SEDE DS-80 Daybed

Celebrating 50 Years in 2020, this daybed is a logical and faithful re-design of the celebrated de Sede classic and has lost none of its fascinations. Its extravagant patchwork covering together with back cushioning that can be positioned as required caused a sensation more than 30 years ago. The contrasts deliberately were chosen between the individual pieces of leather used in the patchwork covering are particularly effective in our Naturale category of leather and make a significant contribution to the charm of this classic model.

The model has been only slightly altered to fit the spirit of the new collection. The DS-80 is available as both a recliner and small lounge sofa.

Established in 1965, de Sede is considered the Rolls Royce of the furniture industry, producing sculptural and sophisticated leather furniture that takes a Modernist leaning.

The origins of de Sede are derived from a small saddler’s workshop established in Klingau, Switzerland, where skilled craftsmen transformed leather into handcrafted seating. The company now works with a stable of renowned European designers and master craftsman who design, make and hand stitch each and every piece to exceedingly strict standards.
