Studio Ting

Studio Ting is a Melbourne based creative studio by artists Carissa Karamarko and Mikey Ting producing made-to-order functional art pieces for the home. Each are artists in their own right, with the studio as a vehicle to bring together their diverse art forms to create objects that sit at the intersection of art and design. Both have individual art practices and sensibilities that blend together to create a distinct studio voice. As a team, the duo oscillates between lead design and design assist roles on the studio pieces, allowing for fully resolved ideas to take shape. Manufacturing is an in-house process where possible with the assistance of local artisans once the skills of this small team of two have been exhausted. Everything is locally dreamed up and made. They work in small runs, in exclusives, in hand-made, quality objects striking a delicate balance between fun and refinement.
