GlobeWest celebrates two decades of creating finely considered Australian furniture with the second capsule range from its extensive 2024 Collections.

GlobeWest, which is celebrating its 20th year, continues to embrace innovation, creativity and elevated luxury with the launch of the second volume of its expansive 2024 Collections, which features eight new ranges and more than 250 products designed with the Australian lifestyle top of mind.

“We’re seeing a desire for spaces that generate a sense of wellness and tranquillity, where you can immerse yourself in a cosy sanctuary.”

“As we enter our second decade, we’re embracing new textures and silhouettes that embody the warmth and tactility of our natural surroundings,” says Keti Lytras, GlobeWest’s head of creative. “Our Volume #02 capsule includes product highlights in grounding forms, comfort-driven shapes and eye-catching fabrics across our indoor and homewares categories.”

The new ranges exude a sense of sanctuary and calmness, marked by neutral tones, a deep sense of comfort and a refined luxury. “We’re seeing a desire for spaces that generate a sense of wellness and tranquillity, where you can immerse yourself in a cosy sanctuary while embracing restorative profiles through curves, soft forms and tactile fabrics,” says Keti. Nowhere is that philosophy better demonstrated than in the Madrid Retreat modular sofa in a soft textured linen, with a deep-seat design ideal for lounging and a calming colour range.

“There’s been a resurgence of warmer woods in high-end architecture and interiors through designs with rounded edges and silhouettes that soften spaces.”

Innovative gloss and hand-applied mineral finishes are featured, and the primarily neutral palette is juxtaposed with luxury marble, including a rich brown Emperador, and warm timber hues. “We’re excited to be introducing darker finishes like walnut to the range. There’s been a resurgence of warmer woods in high-end architecture and interiors through designs with rounded edges and silhouettes that soften spaces. We’ve added some key walnut pieces including Seb, a dining table in round and oval options and with a unique tri-pillar base.”

Marble is showcased in Willa coffee and side tables, which feature sleek round marble tops and solid oak ellipse-shaped legs and “exude modern sophistication and versatility”. Bone inlay is other distinctive feature, appearing in the Zafina collection, which comprises two bedside tables, two side tables and two storage units in shades of nude, cobalt and sepia. New colours including dusk, sepia, thyme and gunmetal feature in casegoods and occasional tables, while upholstery material embraces three new hues: cloud, dove and oat.

GlobeWest’s Melbourne-based design team have also created the Kip occasional chair to support the Lighthouse Foundation, which works to end youth homelessness.

Other highlights of the Volume #02 capsule include Kin storage units, marked by clean lines, pillar handles and generous storage space; the high-gloss and playfully shaped Milo buffet and entertainment unit; and Charles, a dining table, console, bedside table and side table in ash veneer with soft waterfall edges. GlobeWest’s Melbourne-based design team have also created the Kip occasional chair to support the Lighthouse Foundation, which works to end youth homelessness. Five per cent of sales of the natural ash-framed chair, available in white bark or leek green upholstery, will go directly to the charity.
