Lyon Street Beach House
by Meaghan White Architect
The Lyons Street Beach House is a new residential home project in Cottesloe Western Australia designed by Meaghan White Architect.
Lyons Street in Cottesloe is focused on families, so the kitchen is at the front with a skateboard entry to the neighbour-friendly bar. Meaghan White centered the design of this project around the family friendly atmosphere of the Western Australian neighborhood.
The home features a parents’ retreat with private sweeping views over the Cottesloe pine trees with curved robes and ensuite. This retreat has become a beautiful haven from busy young boys.
The owners are keen and capable entertainers and so there is also a pizza oven, pool pavilion and under croft parking for three cars.
The clients were ecstatic with the final result and commented on the amazing services of Meaghan White and her team. “Building on a small, narrow lot presents challenges especially when you throw in a tight budget. Meaghan’s varied design options all met our brief for a contemporary, funky and liveable family home. We ended up with a house design that incorporates everything we wanted and Meaghan also kept us on budget — a miracle these days!”
