New Collection Launch
With an understated European influence and architectural sensibility, new Australian brand Trovato brings a collection of refined furniture and homewares to market.
Meaning “found” in Italian, Trovato certainly feels like a scintillating discovery. With a subtle European aesthetic, the brand’s elevated furniture and homewares collection brings together globally sourced pieces and exclusive in-house designs that are sophisticated, approachable and crafted for the Australian way of life.
Founded by a team with more than 15 years of experience across architecture, interiors and material supply, Trovato is driven by a genuine respect for craftsmanship and materiality. This has resulted in an elevated range of products characterised by rich textures, unique silhouettes and soft, neutral colour palettes across seating, tables, sleep, objects and lighting.
Standout pieces include the Lento armchair, with its relaxed slung profile and supple Australian-made leather channelling the charm of the 1970s. In the sleep collection, the Tace and Dormi feature textural upholstery and varying storage options. The Legato dining table, meanwhile, pairs an American walnut top with a stainless-steel base in a striking interplay of materials.
The table range also features the Tocco and Ponte consoles, the former a study in sculptural solidity, the latter a narrow, high-gloss statement piece; the Masso side table, a solid, weighty presence carved from layered Douglas fir and which also pulls double duty as a stool; and the Forte coffee table, a low-slung format in a warm chestnut tone featuring subtle but considered detailing.
Adding a playful note to the collection is the Snowman series by South Korean studio ILKW Lighting Design, available in Australia exclusively through Trovato. With a range of sorbet hues, glossy curves and a soft, ambient glow, Snowman is available in myriad formats, including a table lamp, portable lamp and mini portable light.
The brand’s appointment-only Gold Coast showroom, The Penthouse, presents the collection within a lived-in residential setting, allowing designers and clients to experience the pieces in situ. With a commitment to strong stock availability, practical lead times and a clear design-led point of view, Trovato offers a fresh and flexible approach to contemporary furniture for Australian homes.
