From The Architects
From the outset of this project, the goal was to minimize waste removal and re-use demolition material. The cladding is comprised of waste timbers and flooring while the new floor utilises all the old bricks that made up the back of the original house. Other stone, timber and bricks were utilized throughout the landscaping. The upper floor of the rear façade showcases a succession of windows, as well as, shutters strategically placed for the allowance of light and views from the bedroom, while at the same time, maintaining privacy.
