A natural next chapter
Nodi’s new carpet range expands the brand’s material-first design philosophy with a collection of handwoven wool products that combine texture and warmth.
Known for its commitment to natural materials, design and craftsmanship, Nodi holds a distinctive place in the world of contemporary floorcoverings. Founded by Olivia Moon, the Auckland studio has spent the past decade elevating the humble rug from accessory to design element.
Now, Nodi is expanding its offering with a carpet collection, marking its evolution into a full-service flooring brand and deepening its material-first approach. With an emphasis on premium fibres and ethical production, it’s a textural solution for architects and designers seeking elevated natural flooring.
Nodi is grounded in the belief that what we place underfoot can shape how we feel in a space. This philosophy carries through to the brand’s new collection: a tightly edited range of wool carpets that bring comfort and artisanal detail to interiors.
“Expanding into carpets felt like a natural next chapter because it allowed us to take our exploration of texture, fibre and craftsmanship into a product category that is often overlooked,” says Moon. “Our products have always been about enhancing interiors through considered materiality, and including carpets in our offering gives us the opportunity to amplify that.”
Where many carpet brands lean into synthetic fibres, excessive choice and commercially driven finishes, Nodi offers an alternative. The new range is designed specifically for architects and designers to utilise in projects, with a focus on tactility and warmth. “In designing this carpet collection, we’ve paid careful attention to subtle textures, tactile comfort and natural hues that encourage calmness and connection,” explains Moon. “The collection is handwoven from pure wool, specifically selected to evoke warmth, comfort and a quiet sense of wellbeing underfoot.”

This focus on materiality extends to how the carpets are made. Nodi works directly with skilled artisans who handweave the floor coverings using traditional techniques, a reflection of the brand’s ongoing commitment to ethical production. The full range is GoodWeave-certified, ensuring transparency and care across every step of the process.
Rather than overwhelming designers with options, Nodi’s range is deliberately restrained, with versatile styles that sit confidently in both residential and commercial interiors. “We’ve really considered practical requirements. This collection gives designers an elegant and thoughtful solution when considering natural carpet for their projects.”

As both founder and creative director, Moon continues to shape every Nodi product. Her background in textile design, influenced by her time in Milan and close collaborations with artisans in India, underpins the brand’s aesthetic. “This new phase is an extension of that journey – it’s taking everything I’ve learned about fibres, weave and structure, and applying it on a broader scale.”
A culmination of Nodi’s evolving design philosophy, the new carpet range encapsulates Moon’s dedication to creating products that foster connection and elevate daily life. “This carpet collection reflects my passion for craftsmanship, tactile comfort and the belief that thoughtful design can genuinely improve our everyday interactions with the spaces we inhabit,” she says.
