In its new light-filled Sydney flagship showroom, Abey Australia has created a welcoming destination in which to explore the company’s full collection of luxury kitchen, bathroom and laundry products. Featuring premium designer brands sourced from around the world, the range showcases a spectrum of styles, from traditional designs to contemporary models.

Located in the Danks Street designer district of Waterloo, the showroom by Place Studio in collaboration with The Interior Standard reconceives the space as open and light-filled, with a double-height glass frontage to maximise its northern aspect. With more than 300 unique products on display – including five baths – the showroom has been designed around discrete zones based on brand and product type, allowing their unique design propositions to shine in a resolved and engaging fashion. Working kitchen and tap and shower displays invite a functional appraisal of each design possibility. Breakout spaces have been set aside for consultation and collaboration, with styling elements of verdant foliage and sophisticated interior objects to bring Abey’s passion for creation and innovation to the fore, creating a warm and welcoming residential atmosphere.

“Our new showroom is designed to be a truly inspirational space where customers can immerse themselves in full concept ideas. We believe in providing an experience from start to finish, helping people select the perfect products that resonate with their needs and designs,” says Sam Foster, Abey Australia National Showroom Manager.

Among the brands on display are Gessi, the prestigious family-owned Italian tapware company renowned for fusing artistic flair with meticulous manufacturing techniques. Gessi was one of the first international brands to forge a partnership with Abey, helping to chart the Australian company’s foray into bathroom products. It remains integral to the Abey showroom today, its sophisticated tapware an ideal complement to the rose-pink Zellige tiles and freestanding basin in the Gessi display area. Abey prides itself on its exclusive partnerships with the finest brands from Italy, France, the UK and Germany, including Chambord, French purveyors of exquisite hand-finished fireclay sinks, and Schock, whose coloured granite sinks make an artisanal statement in any kitchen, alongside Barazza, Burlington, Armando Vicario and more.

With a history spanning more than 67 years, Abey’s vision for innovation has kept it at the forefront of the Australian manufacturing and plumbing industries for decades. The new Sydney flagship is a celebration of this heritage in an elegant and welcoming environment that highlights the legacy of this third-generation family-owned and -run business. Additional Abey showrooms are located in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
