AMAR by Paul Clout Design with HomePro
Sheer Burleigh window furnishings from HomePro are the perfect complement to the subtle palette and natural materiality of the striking AMAR residence in the Noosa Hinterland.
For four decades, Paul Clout Design has crafted luxury homes on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, hallmarked by unrivalled quality and attention to detail. That ethos is beautifully demonstrated in AMAR, designed and built by, and for, Paul Clout’s son Jared. The stunning residence is set on 1.3 undulating hectares in the verdant Noosa Hinterland, with 360-degree panoramas of the Glasshouse Mountains to the south, Cooroy Mountain to the west and the Pacific to the east.
As you would expect with a Paul Clout Design build, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home is meticulously finished – its high-end materiality includes oak floorboards, stone and travertine – with expansive outdoor living areas. These segue seamlessly into the elegant, minimalist interiors that take full advantage of the stunning views. An infinity pool, gym and wine cellar with tasting table are among its stand-out features.
Adding to the residence’s sense of understated luxury are James Dunlop’s Burleigh window furnishings, designed in collaboration with DIYblinds and with Australian coastal living top of mind. The sheer, soft-to-the-touch Burleigh – available exclusively from HomePro by DIYblinds – represents the latest in design trends and technological innovation in the window furnishings market.
“Milled in Turkey – a country renowned for its textile heritage – Burleigh is the result of a meticulous two-year design process, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety, including OEKO-TEX certification,” says HomePro and DIYblinds director Evan Montero. “It’s a high-performance fabric that embodies the essence of Australian coastal home design.”
Interior design studio Hong Henwood opted for Burleigh in the Pearl colourway to reflect the home’s subdued neutral palette and natural materiality. Made from a linen polyester blend, it offers the look and feel of linen but with added durability, perfect for the sometimes-harsh Queensland conditions. Burleigh’s sheer quality is also the perfect complement to the home’s open nature, enhancing the sense of indoor-outdoor connection. Additionally, the range comes with a manageable price tag. “Burleigh combines beauty, quality and affordability,” says Montero. “It really is redefining accessible luxury.”
