A World of Possibilities — Arli Homes’s Dedication to Affordable Luxury
Working in collaboration with DKO Architecture, Arli Homes builds attainable architectural dwellings. Drawing on extensive experience in the luxury residential market, the company’s cohesive offering seeks to balance value for money with the benefits of architectural design.
Arli Homes was founded in response to the observation that, at the time, the residential design and build options available were defined by their limitations. “On one side [the prospective home-owner] could purchase an affordable home, but the designs all look[ed] the same,” explains Co-Founder and Director of Arli Homes Brendan Calleja. “On the other side, there are beautiful homes, designed by an architect but out of reach for most people’s budgets. We saw an opportunity to build homes that offer the benefits of both: designed by an architect and built to be affordable.”
A belief that well-designed spaces have a positive impact on the health, well-being and lifestyle of their occupants underpins the company, grounded in the years Brendan spent working on bespoke residences designed for clients with virtually unlimited budgets. “These experiences have helped us create a model where we fuse together the relationship between the builder, architect and engineer to create one-off, unique designs that are visionary, light-filled and contemporary.”
Arli Homes shares an appreciation for elegant contemporary design with collaborators DKO Architecture. The internationally renowned practice of architects and interior designers adopts an analytical approach to each project, pursuing outcomes that will serve the environmental context whilst promoting human connection. “We spent more than 12 months developing our floor plans, façades and interiors before we launched in the market,” says Arli Homes Co-Founder Sharon Hutchings. The resulting designs exemplify the fundamentals of good design, utilising considered materiality and innovative solutions.

The ‘less is more’ maxim, showcasing a high-end interpretation of minimalism, is evident across the range, which is regularly updated. With an agile creative model, Arli Homes is able to adapt its offering every 12 months in order to acknowledge current trends and nod towards future inspiration. The Isla and Luca designs exemplify the company’s approach to attainable luxury. With a textural San Selmo brick façade, the single-level Isla sets out to make a statement in the streetscape, whilst the double-storey Luca is subtly monolithic. Internally, both designs express the concept of the home as a tranquil retreat and unite this with the trend for warmer finishes, creating a soft and soothing environment, Sharon explains. “Subtly warm hues filter up through cabinetry finishes enveloping you into a peaceful state of mind.”
Arli Homes takes pride in the attention paid to detail in the interiors. “Each home design in our portfolio has a unique interior design, which is a big differentiator from many other builders in our space,” says Sharon. For the client, the first step into the Arli Homes aesthetic landscape may take the form of contact with an interior designer, who will guide them towards the opportunities available within a bespoke project. Alternatively, clients may visit an Arli Homes display home where they can immerse themselves in the experience of premium inserts, “ensuring that good interior design isn’t only reserved for the elite.”
