Arper Expands its Outdoor Offering
Italian furniture brand Arper, available exclusively in Australia through Stylecraft, has reimagined classic pieces from its range for alfresco living.
Recognising that the line between indoor and outdoor living is becoming increasingly hard to distinguish, esteemed Italian maker Arper is expanding its collection of alfresco furniture. With a focus on reworking iconic interior pieces, the brand brings a fresh perspective to life outdoors.

Founded by Luigi Feltrin in Monastier di Treviso, Italy in 1989, the Feltrin family still guide Arper in creating thoughtful, life-centred design that upholds five core values: responsibility, care, openness, imagination and courage. It’s an ethos that finds a kindred spirit in Stylecraft – the partnership between the two companies spans more than two decades.
Arper’s expanded outdoor offering is led by the Duna 02 chair, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina in 2000. Its classic enveloping form comes to alfresco spaces for the first time – in four colours, with an ultra-durable chrome or powder-coated steel base in sled or four-leg iterations. Ideal for private terraces or hospitality venues, the updated Duna 02 features discreet drainage in the shell, ensuring longevity in any setting.
The award-winning Leaf range, originally designed in 2005, is refreshed with the addition of generous, comfortable cushions, creating an enriched collection that invites moments to be savoured. The chaise lounge embodies the collection’s sculptural linear form, one that evokes tree branches and leaf veins. Crafted from powder-coated steel rods, it brings a crisp geometry to residential and commercial environments.
A new bench expands the utility of the Onemm range, sculptural tables crafted from a single sheet of folded, powder-coated steel. Designed by Swiss architect Peter Kunz, the bench echoes the form of the Onemm table – minimal, razor-thin, lightweight, seamless – and offers a versatile outdoor seating solution for contemporary alfresco spaces. Available in three sizes and three colourways, the bench can also be specified with an upholstered seat cushion.
As Arper continues to champion sustainability in everything it creates, the classic Catifa 46 chair – which debuted to universal acclaim in 2004 – is reborn as Catifa (RE) 46. The shell of both the chair and bar stool is now constructed from 100 per cent recycled plastic, sourced from a blend of post-consumer and post-industrial waste. A tactile finish and muted colour palette drawn from the realm of sustainable architecture underscore the Catifa (RE) 46, which comes in multiple iterations – including steel or timber legs in sled or four-leg formations, and bar and counter heights for the stool. Optional accessories such as an upholstered seat cushion boost both flexibility and comfort.
Together with evolutions in other seminal pieces, the extended Arper alfresco range offers designers unparalleled opportunities to create cohesion between indoor and outdoor spaces where wellbeing and human connection are paramount.
