United by the core values of quality and sustainability, Cantilever is a design-centric Australian kitchen manufacturing and interiors company committed to designing for longevity. Manufacturing for a diverse range of projects across Australia, Cantilever’s quality kitchen systems are made to order and built by hand in Brunswick East, Melbourne.

Since 2006, Cantilever has been designing products built to last. Developing a strong belief in making locally, acting mindfully and minimising wasteful practices, Cantilever’s core business is focused on the design, documentation, manufacturing and installation of kitchen and complete home joinery solutions, whilst offering complete service care to clients. Commencing with the K1 kitchen system and growing to incorporate the K2, K3 and most recently Tableau, Cantilever designs are inspired by modern Australian living.

Designing and manufacturing each kitchen system by hand direct from their Brunswick East workshop, Cantilever is a local company with a national presence. With projects in every Australian state and territory, each kitchen system can be specified in single and multi-residential projects across the country. Truly customisable in nature, Cantilever offers clients the freedom of design and pricing flexibility achieved through material selection and design detailing meaning that each kitchen system can be configured to fit any space.

Truly encompassing a deep-seated commitment to offering clients a full service agency for user-centred design, Cantilever has recently introduced a bolt-on interiors service designed to improve the client journey, whilst facilitating the development of a holistic service that is responsive to the overarching project design and budgetary considerations. Providing clients with a truly cohesive experience that develops seamless integration between product installation and service offerings, Cantilever’s interiors service includes spatial planning, interior specification and general documentation services. The ultimate goal is to facilitate consistency in the design language of a space – creating a style that does not cease with the kitchen but grows to encompass customised joinery and modern interiors.

A strong culture as a responsible business means that Cantilever is committed to minimising waste, improving air quality and reducing toxicity of building materials. And, with the exciting addition of an interiors service, the design-focused kitchen manufacturer is educating Australians in the simple concept that good design is derived from good living, and that the best place to start this pursuit is within the social heart of the home – the kitchen.
