Cosentino has launched its new ĒCLOS brand with a gala event in Sydney’s CBD, where leading names in design and architecture were introduced to the revolutionary mineral surface – one that combines recycled materials with zero crystalline silica composition.

“Its debut marks a significant milestone for Cosentino Australia, setting a new benchmark for zero-crystalline silica mineral surfaces that blend high performance and safety.”

The material was created with groundbreaking INLAYR technology, developed via more than 28,000 hours of research and 1,500-plus hours of rigorous testing, conducted primarily by Cosentino’s R&D teams. The result is an ultra-high-performance surface with the look and feel of stone, but capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 220°C, including direct contact with cookware.

The first ĒCLOS collection, Eclectic Veins, made its debut at the launch, held at the exclusive Machine Hall venue in Sydney’s CBD. The immersive experience included curated installations and opportunities to explore the range close-up. “The night highlighted the creative vision behind ĒCLOS and its positioning within the premium architectural and design segment,” says Maria del Rocio Rueda, regional director of Cosentino Oceania. “Its debut marks a significant milestone for Cosentino Australia, setting a new benchmark for zero-crystalline silica mineral surfaces that blend high performance and safety, as well as character and contemporary elegance design.”

“It allows the creation of spaces where the surface’s organic veins flow, intertwining through intricate patterns.”

As its name suggests, the collection is characterised by veining that imbues the surfaces with both energy and depth, “ensuring every space feels alive and dynamic,” Rocio Rueda says. “It allows the creation of spaces where the surface’s organic veins flow, intertwining through intricate patterns that emerge against dynamic, moving backgrounds.”

Eclectic Veins comes in seven colourways: Sandr, Ivora, Landr, Tajnar, Legnd, Phantome and Wondr. Their designs range from subtle veining against a light background, as in Landr and Wondr, to moody hues like Legnd, in a muted brown, and Phantome, a dark, smooth black base with warm green tones.
