Dulux Colour Awards 2023 – Entries Now Open

Entries are now open for the 2023 Dulux Colour Awards. The much-anticipated awards encourage architects, interior designers, specifiers and students from Australia and New Zealand demonstrating exceptional use of colour across exterior and interior residential, public and commercial projects to enter.

The entries’ use of colour is judged by a panel of industry experts across six categories: commercial interior – workplace and retail, commercial interior – public and hospitality, commercial and multi-residential exterior, residential interior, single residential exterior and student (years 1-6). The criteria judges will be drawing off are innovation, expression and execution of colour, with the purpose being to recognise design talent, inspire creativity and nurture future discussions on the importance of colour in design.

A new feature of the Dulux Colour Awards in 2023 is the student award, offered to those currently engaged in or having just recently completed their studies at a recognised university or college.

As part of the celebration, entrants will also be in the running for the Grand Prix awards in Australia and New Zealand respectively. This provides winners with the opportunity to take part in the Creative Colour Awards — a Dulux-affiliated global design competition that celebrates colour in design on an international scale.

A new feature of the Dulux Colour Awards in 2023 is the student award, offered to those currently engaged in or having just recently completed their studies at a recognised university or college. Aimed at encouraging future pathways in the design field, the deserving winner of the unique award will honour the achievements of emerging professionals from both Australia and New Zealand. The budding design professionals who take out the student categories will also be invited to participate in the Asia Young Designer Awards (AYDA).

The criteria judges will be drawing off are innovation, expression and execution of colour, with the purpose being to recognise design talent, inspire creativity and nurture future discussions on the importance of colour in design.

Entries are open until Wednesday 1 March 2023. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday 11 May 2023.
