Encompassing three immaculately curated residences, Glasshouse Burleigh Heads by development firm Spyre Group represents the ultimate in high-end residential living, delivering a design testament to the majesty of the location.

Expertly curated by Spyre Group, architecture firm Bureau^Proberts and landscape architecture studio CUSP, Glasshouse is a triumph of high-end residential design informed by an acute knowledge of the importance of place. “The Burleigh hill is a quiet beachfront enclave on Australia’s most desirable coastline,” says Kent Pinel, Design Director of Spyre Group. “These residences embody everything we have strived for as a business, and it is truly a once-in-a-generation opportunity.”

Developed to pay tribute to the extraordinary beachfront location, each element of the three unique residences is perfectly considered, creating a design that mirrors the natural beauty of place while echoing the topography of Burleigh’s headland. “A parcel of land so rare required an architectural response like no other,” states Terry McQuillan, Director of Bureau ^ Proberts. “A location possessing the most impressive collection of natural inspirations granted its creators the freedom to design the impossible.”

Looking through the fluted glass, inside each of the three residences one discovers a showcase of the finest natural materials, high-end finishes and impressive detailing combining to create homes that are luxurious in design yet practical in nature. Generations of local artisans and craftspeople unite to bring all these elements together, making Glasshouse a statement in the beauty of natural materiality.

Spyre Group’s commitment to the hand-crafted, coupled with an inherent appreciation for quality design, sees appliances by Wolf and tapware by Gessi coexist harmoniously alongside handblown lighting pieces by Currumbin-based lighting designers SØKTAS.
“We come into the studio with an idea and experiment with shapes. It might work; it might not,” explains Oliver Höglund, Director of SØKTAS. “Maybe something happens, one shape becomes another shape. It’s freeform. The design process is organic, not manufactured in a computer.”

Ultimately, the defining achievement of Glasshouse Burleigh Heads lies in its ability to do the seemingly unthinkable – elevate the natural beauty of the spectacular Queensland coastline. Fusing a design team dedicated to attaining a new standard in boutique property development, a showcase in the use of natural materials and the power of the handcrafted, Glasshouse is a pinnacle of achievement for Spyre Group. As Kent fittingly states, “every aspect of the project is irreplaceable, which makes the three impossibly beautiful beach-front homes absolute rarities.”
