GlobeWest’s local Product and Design Team is responsible for researching, designing and bringing to fruition the collections, which collectively represent the company’s vision for the future of Australian interiors. Inspired to create furniture and accessories with longevity that evoke a sense of comfort, joy and connection between people and place, capturing the relaxed yet sophisticated essence of Australia, the team responds to the needs of designers and their clients. The design process begins with research, exploring the interests and needs of customers to ascertain not only the types of products that should appear in the next collection but also the specific qualities those products should possess. Weaving together current considerations of aesthetics, culture, technology and economics into broader ideas about the ideal Australian home and workplace, these forecasts inform the final collections, which despite their diversity, all embody the GlobeWest values of aesthetics, comfort and personal useability.

Drawing on both trend forecasts and the team’s experience in the local design industry, every original collection and its comprising individual products are meticulously formulated. Time is taken to ensure that each piece is of the highest quality, and the product is considered not only in terms of its useability but its individual levels of comfort and sophistication. This collaborative and detail-oriented approach has contributed to a consistent culture of evolution, with GlobeWest’s interactions with designers once the collections are released then feeding into the subsequent development and design of the following series of collections.
