ZETR’s Sydney HQ
With a shared commitment to sustainability and longevity, Relive by Living Edge worked with ZETR to reduce the environmental impact of its refurbished Sydney headquarters through a suite of repurposed furniture.
Australian company ZETR is a global leader in connectivity, crafting minimal, durable and design-led power solutions for both residential and commercial settings. Sustainability is a cornerstone of the company’s operations, grounded in the three pillars of design, people and planet, and fuelled by intentionality and innovation. That ethos was central to a recent redesign of ZETR’s headquarters, in Mona Vale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The company first moved to the site in 2019 and, like ZETR itself, the headquarters has evolved to reflect the changing needs of the team. Designed in-house, the aesthetic of the latest reimagining mirrors ZETR’s product lines – clean and minimal, with a deep respect for materiality. Creativity and collaboration are fostered through open work areas, meeting and breakout spaces, dedicated collaboration pods and a central kitchen where the team gathers daily.
To minimise the environmental impact of the rejuvenation, ZETR turned to one of its long-term collaborators, Living Edge, a company which shares its commitment to sustainability, longevity, circularity and purposeful design. ZETR worked with Relive by Living Edge – which gives new life to pre-owned, authentic, high-quality pieces – to integrate designer furniture throughout the spaces. “One of the core principles of the circular economy is to maximise the useful life of products through repair, refurbishment and reuse,” says Guy Walsh, sustainability strategist at Living Edge. “We are here to make that happen by making it easier for people to source pre-owned products and access pathways to reuse authentic furniture.”

Relive’s considered curation brings some of the design world’s most esteemed names into ZETR’s realm. In the entry area, Tom Dixon’s Fat lounge chairs in a barely-there grey create a memorable arrival point, their curvaceously sculptural form inviting pause. In the work zones, Herman Miller Abak workstations have been refreshed and updated, complete with ZETR’s integrated high-powered USB-C modules. Paired with reclaimed 14-year-old Herman Miller Mirra 1 Task chairs, they establish an adaptable base for focused tasks.
David Caon’s Bloc+ meeting booth creates an ergonomic, elegant nook for concentrated work or private conversations, while the refined geometry of a Herman Miller Eames segmented table – upgraded with a custom ZETR tabletop and a base reconstructed with reclaimed components – is a purpose-driven site for client consultations and casual conversations. ZETR’s 25 Connect power and data system is built in to the table. Walter Knoll’s elongated, slim-line Conference X table provides an adaptable solution for larger meetings, while the outdoor-inspired design of Extremis’s Hopper picnic table brings a lighter touch to team gatherings.

For ZETR director Garth Elliott, the collaboration with Living Edge not only reduced the HQ’s environmental footprint, but achieved a working environment that bristles with new energy and joy. “Collaborating on this project with Relive by Living Edge continues our shared pursuit of timeless design while making sure the space functions beautifully for the team.”
