POCO Designs fuses the old and new through a thoughtful celebration of both, animating details and incorporating curious moments that reflect the personalities of the occupants.
Located within its namesake suburb, Hunters Hill Residence continues the original character of the home through an emphasis on crafted and artisanal touches. Although the original home featured an internal separation of rooms – a characteristic of its Federation-era origins – opening the home’s interior allowed for free-flowing movement and became key to how the home both felt and functioned. Whilst the original exterior and its cladding remains, the interior becomes the focus of the reworking. The spaces are re-imagined, ensuring a connection between the rooms and to the surrounding landscape. POCO Designs draws from the existing charm of the home in proposing its next fruitful chapter.
