Concrete Studio
Architectural vision, hand-refined forms and timeless luxury converge in Concrete Studio’s range of high-end, minimalist concrete basins, vanities and baths, products engineered to transform functional objects into statements of form and philosophy.
Since 2012, the studio has championed concrete as a material, elevated through genuine craftsmanship and industry-leading innovation. What started as a love for sculptural concrete pieces has grown into a company serving the industry and design-savvy homeowners with an international presence.
Based in Fremantle, with workshops in Mallorca and San Diego, Concrete Studio brings a Mediterranean influence to its Australian clients and, likewise, Australian craft to its European audience, providing global yet grounded expertise, with objects attuned to place and imbued with integrity and quiet strength.
Each piece is crafted, finished and refined by hand in Western Australia, uniting artisanal skill with sustainable production methods and supported by a 10-year warranty.
The newest collection, Talaia, a sculptural offset pedestal basin and bath, reflects the studio’s longstanding belief that bathroom fixtures can hold the same quiet gravitas, considered intent and material clarity as any finely crafted piece of furniture. They are not merely functional but a testament to form.
“The pedestal’s offset basin echoes the bold gesture of cantilever, distilled into an elemental form that feels both poised and grounded,” says studio director Philip Mark Martin. “It speaks to balance, restraint and sculptural quietness, creating a statement that is as architectural as it is functional.”
The name reflects the story behind its design. In Mallorca, a talaia – the word derives from the Mallorquí variant of Catalan – is an ancient stone watchtower. These structures rise from the coastal landscape with clarity and strength, a testament to resilience and perspective. The collection interprets these ideas through an offset form, one that holds space with calm authority. The accompanying bath carries these concepts into a broader architectural form, mirroring the same measured curves and sculptural, monolithic profile.
The range – and all of Concrete Studio’s collections – comes in 12 colours, including Husk, which was especially specified for Talaia and was inspired by the warm, earthy hues and textured feel of marés, a traditional sandstone used across the Balearic Islands.
Concrete Studio’s products are offered across three tiers. First are the Classics, refined and enduring pieces with proven appeal, ideal for homeowners but also suitable for commercial settings. Newly created Editions is a natural extension of that tier, featuring statement, sculptural limited releases that push both conceptual and material boundaries – Talaia is the first iteration of the Editions tier. Finally, there is the Tailored range, fully customised pieces created in direct collaboration with architects, designers and artists for a particular space or brief.
The bathroom today has evolved into a sanctuary for harmony and restoration. Sculptural and composed, tactile and refined, Talaia reflects that evolution. Made from materials that feel honest and lasting, it transforms daily routines into memorable rituals. Talaia also embodies Concrete Studio’s duality: locally crafted objects enriched by authentic global influences, shaped by culture rather than imitation.
