Lifestyle brand Hanna Home’s product range has been crafted to support human connection and help create spaces imbued with togetherness and warmth.
For lifestyle and homewares brand Hanna Home – named for its founder Alex Hanna – the focus is on refined luxury and timeless design. The company’s collection of homewares and bedding features high-quality materials and an abiding respect for artisanal practices, both designed to create spaces where people gather in comfort. The range is also steeped in impeccable sustainability credentials. Hanna Home’s bedding, for example, is made from 100 per cent linen and is manufactured in the country where the raw material originates – in this case, Portugal.
“With our linen bedding, we’re supporting a family-run business in Portugal and keeping the supply chain all in one country,” says Hanna. “A lot of flax is sent to China and produced in factories there. The business in Portugal would be impacted by this so we choose to support the original producers and makers, keeping our products out of mass factories, which is in keeping with our sustainability ethos.”
As an all-natural fabric, linen is ideal for bedding – being temperature regulating, comfortable and breathable – and is a far more sustainable option than cotton and synthetic alternatives. “Linen requires less water than cotton to grow and it’s more resilient to pests, so there’s less need for pesticides. And, because it’s a natural fibre, it will also break down much faster than synthetic fibres.”
The range comes in a stunning colour palette – including a recently released blue hue called Ocean – which reflects Australia’s landscapes, bringing another natural layer into homes. “By drawing from nature, we aim to create colours that invite a sense of peace and grounding,” says Hanna. “We believe that surrounding ourselves with colours inspired by nature fosters a connection to the land, allowing our homes to mirror the harmony and calm of the outdoors.
“This approach not only respects the beauty of our surroundings but also helps create a restorative atmosphere within the home, making it a true sanctuary.”
