With an ethos of providing affordable designer furniture for every space, Life Interiors has been offering its own take on Scandinavian-inspired modern Australian design since 2006. This approach is embodied in the latest Abode AW22 collections, which see a palette of earthy tones and layered textures offer a thoughtful, carefully curated selection of furniture for the contemporary home.

Founded 15 years ago by brothers Geoff and Basil Karam, Life Interiors began from a simple mission – making quality designer furniture accessible to all. After making an impact in the online market, in 2009 the company opened its first showroom in Sydney, followed by another in Abbotsford, Melbourne, in 2016. The showrooms have become integral to the company’s engagement with customers, with both in-person and online styling consultations offered for a more personalised experience.

The second instalment of the Abode AW22 collection encompasses the Rio, Flair, Lancaster and Noir ranges and represents the continued evolution of the Life Interiors signature aesthetic. The new collections combine a crisp, neutral colour palette with boucle, brass and rattan details to create refined yet comforting and warm spaces for every home. Each of the AW22 collections is designed to be able to be mixed and matched with older collections, combining a sense of continuity with a fresh and updated perspective.

In the bedroom, the Rio Bedside Tables and Chest of Drawers unite fluted timber with black and brass-accents, making for bold statement pieces. Continuing through to the entertaining spaces, the Flair Rattan Extendable Dining Table and Coffee Table encourage conversation and connection, with rattan detailing resulting in a relaxed aesthetic reminiscent of the 1970s. Similarly, the Lancaster Extendable Dining Table in solid oak and the Noir Oval Dining Table create inviting dining spaces that encompass everything from intimate family gatherings to convivial dinner parties. Where the Lancaster collection embodies a classic simplicity, the Noir offers a more sculptural, detailed sensibility.

Together, the AW22 Collections highlight not only the brand’s underpinning purpose of making designer furniture affordable but also its carefully considered, delicate balance between current trends and timeless design principles. Offering a considered take on modern Australian design laced with a mid-century Scandinavian influence, Life Interiors emphasises a curated palette, natural materials and refined silhouettes for an enduring aesthetic adaptable to personal taste and individual homes. From dreamy bedrooms to inviting living spaces, the new additions of Flair, Rio, Lancaster and Noir embody comfort, functionality and style – building upon the Life Interiors legacy of attainable quality design.
