The new espresso machine is a premium and customisable offering within the renowned La Marzocco family, and the sub-brand’s latest incarnation reflects La Marzocco’s ongoing commitment to performance and quality design. Crafted for high-end hospitality venues, Modbar reimagines the barista’s workstation by concealing the coffee hardware under the counter while showcasing elegant stainless-steel taps above the counter. By removing the physical barrier between coffee maker and coffee consumer, Modbar opens up the possibilities for interaction and conversation.

The range’s features effortlessly integrate quality and function, making for a premium, consistent and reliable coffee experience. The minimal, sophisticated design features a set of three individual chrome taps that sit on the counter and dispense espresso, steamed milk and pour-over coffee, with the electronic components (which can be programmed to control details like pressure, temperature and cleaning) under the counter. Crafted in a sleek chrome finish, each Modbar element can be fully customised to complement any interior or aesthetic.

Modbar provides designers, architects, hospitality professionals and entrepreneurs with the tools to create exceptional spaces and experiences, which is why Modbar has been installed in countless venues around the world, from neighbourhood cafes to high-end cocktail bars. In Australia, it can be found at the Fiona Lynch Office- designed Kiln restaurant in the Ace Hotel in Sydney, Curious Bar at the W Melbourne hotel, designed by HACHEM, Hemingway Cafe in Perth, the work of Woods Bagot, and loopcreative’s Victor Churchill Melbourne.

Modbar combines form and function in a simple yet minimalist espresso machine that elevates any space. Its innovative design thinking transforms the coffee-drinking experience and facilitates unique interactions between the maker and the customer.
