Following its Brooklyn sister, Mud Australia has established its hold on New York City with a new Nolita based store, building upon the design language of Mud’s Sydney, Los Angeles and London locations. Entering from the single lane Mott Street, customers are immediately transported into a space that honours the Australian design brand, complete with a glass façade to allow natural light to flow through the space.

Immediately making customers and staff feel welcomed, the Manhattan store is one of understated elegance, filled with colour, texture and warmth. Iconic Vistoe shelving systems and bespoke joinery line either side of the intimate space, showcasing the homemade porcelain homewares in clear view, alongside the brand’s instantly recognisable signature interior glazing.

Mud Australia’s entire lighting collection range – designed in a graphic cluster of pastel pendants – hangs on display, enticing customers to enter and delve deep into the collection. The interior design of the Nolita store fits Founder Shelley Simpson’s brief in crafting a space that is quietly confident in presence. Flowing from the entrance, the collection of homewares takes the customer on a journey from larger entertainment pieces to the more homely products for everyday use – all available in an expressive 19 shades.
