NAB Melbourne exudes comfort, offering a reprieve from the bustling CBD. With the use of DesignerPly products from ForestOne, Hassell has created a contemporary workplace filled with warm hues, natural light and a materiality catering to the wellbeing and health of workers.

Filled with collaborative spaces as well as private working stations, employees can connect over NAB Melbourne’s three storeys. With maximum flexibility, the new workspace allows for personnel and customers to feel welcome, learn from each other and be encouraged to reach their full potential. By specifying birch clear powder-coated and VOC-free powder-coated wall and ceiling panels, Hassell has helped NAB reconnect with its clientele after the global pandemic.

Through its aesthetic finish, the plywood conveys a soft and calming appeal within communal workspaces, conference rooms, eateries, multi-faith rooms, parent rooms and large studios.

To bolster wellbeing, Hassell used DesignerPly birch clear powder-coated panels throughout the interior space, creating a warm environment that enhances workflow. A non-structural plywood, the birch panelling was selected for its functionality in the semi-exposed areas of the office space. Through its aesthetic finish, the plywood conveys a soft and calming appeal within communal workspaces, conference rooms, eateries, multi-faith rooms, parent rooms and large studios. Paired with plant life and coloured lounges, the chosen material offers a cheerful reprieve from Melbourne’s cityscape.

Utilising VOC-free powder-coated panels, the office radiates a level of sophistication that is not often seen in commercial buildings of this size. Chosen for its resistance to high-volume wear and tear abilities, the panelling easily absorbs heavy foot traffic. Providing an array of coating options – including single-sided and double-sided – the pre-finished VOC-free powder-coated panels also allow for cutting on site for a swift installation process. Fitted to Hassell’s specification, ForestOne provided 12-millimetre plywood panels for the wall panelling and 18-millimetre panels for the joinery, among other custom sizes.

From its extensive range of plywood, ForestOne provided Hassell with the materials needed to imbue the NAB Melbourne office with a refreshing and modern take on the workplace.
